TCNalyzer

MVB Analysis

TCNalyzer is an integrated testing system for electrical components in rail vehicles. You can also use TCNalyzer products for faster and more dependable commissioning of electrical components for the MVB environment. With increasingly stringent requirements for the safety and reliability of rail vehicles, the outlay needed for manufacturing individual components and assemblies in the quality demanded is rising too. This relates to the mechanical elements and the vehicle instrumentation and control system alike.

TCNalyzer products provides powerful functions for developing new components, and significantly simplifies the procedures required for testing behavior in the MVB environment. Whereas previously this behavior could be analyzed only in the vehicle itself or in complex test environments, TCNalyzer now enables these tests to be conducted without the time consuming task of setting up test environments beforehand.

Analysis

The TCNalyzer MVB-Analysis analyzes the data traffic at the MVB and determines the characteristic communication parameters. By means of that function it is very easy to determine and verify the projected bus configuration directly at the system.

Even if you do not have any configuration data available, the MVB-Analysis enables you to get a quick overview of an unknown MVB configuration.

Display

The MVB as the central communication medium within a vehicle, enables the access to the total important control information, diagnosis data and process values in the system.

The MVB-Analysis is in a position to present the data from the TCN user‘s view in different ways. As for process data, there is the possibility to present the values ´online´ in tables or in graphics. For analysis of time critical procedures at the MVB, the TCNalyzer MVB-Analysis offers the function of recording into a file with later ´offline´ evaluation. The scanning frequency of the data at the bus can be up to 1000 Hz.

Test

By means of the TCNalyzer MVB-Analysis you are in a position to test electronical components having been developed and configured for their use at the MVB, for their behavior at the MVB without the necessity of installing a complete system.

The MVB-Analysis can send process data and message datagrams to the test object without bus administrator and display and record the object reactions.


MVB Simulation

The MVB-Simulation is a PC based tool for all works at and with the Train Communication Network. Basic functionality is the simulation of one or several devices at the Multifunction Vehicle Bus.

The MVB-Simulation can even take over the total bus administrator (BA) functions. The data are presented from user’s view. Due to the definition of automatic signal courses, the MVB-Simulation can be used as testing means for MVB components. The MVB-Simulation contains the following features:

  • Simulation of projects with up to 64 devices (Device Class 1 - Class 4, except for simulation of MD data)
  • Projects with up to 256 process data ports
  • Support of all types of TCN process data
  • Simulation of bus administrator (PD, MD, DSW)

MVB Simulation API

Since it is very easy to simulate one or several devices with the MVB-Simulation, commissioning times and thus also commissioning costs of an electronical component or an entire MVB process control engineering system can be reduced considerably.

In interaction with the MVB-Simulation API the MVB Simulation gets much more flexibility. The MVB-Simulation API is a function library that gives the user the capability to access the Multifunction Vehicle Bus in his own special way. It is a powerful tool to build software applications around the MVB-Simulation.


ANYlyzer

Hardware Independent Remote Diagnosis

The ANYlyzer® concept enables hardware-independent remote access for fieldbus diagnostics via IP-based networks, such as company networks or the Internet.

The elimination of the need for the engineer and the fieldbus to be in the same place for troubleshooting opens up new use cases. The client-server architecture allows several experts to carry out diagnostic work on a control system at the same time.

Security standards such as the use of SSL (Secure Socket Layer) or VPN (Virtual Private Network) as well as user and group management of the ANYlyzer® server protect the control system from unauthorized access.

Fieldbus Diagnosis via Network

Fieldbus diagnosis is now an essential part of the development process of modern control systems. More and more different bus systems are used together in order to be able to take into account different requirements in terms of security, real-time aspects, cost reduction, etc.

Different types of bus systems require that special diagnostic tools are required for each bus system used, which are usually supplied by different manufacturers. This variety of tools hinders a continuous development process, since, among other things, the exchange of project data is usually cumbersome or not possible at all.

Conventional fieldbus diagnostic tools - usually based on notebooks or workstation computers with an additional fieldbus coupler - require the user and the fieldbus to be in close proximity to one another. This can be a disadvantage if the fieldbus is located in an environment in which, for example, there is a higher level of noise pollution or the workplace is located in a remote location.

The ANYlyzer® concept breaks with these uncomfortable conditions and opens up new possibilities for engineers for their daily work. The ANYlyzer® concept enables hardware-independent remote access for fieldbus diagnostics via IP-based networks, such as corporate networks or the Internet.
